iPhone 3G, and other things I care LESS about

with one comment

Who cares about the second generation iPhone? In other words, iPhone v.2; 3G.

Steve Jobs believes that this version will be a step improvement from the first-generation iPhone. The iPhone 3G will have improved upload times, and its multi-touch screen is a great new feature, and a 2 megapixel camera – what? really, just 2-megapixels! The Safari browser still won’t play Shockwave/Flash embedded video files – (flash is not popular on the web as per Jobs), and you cannot copy and paste text. My Motorola cell phone 3 years ago could copy and paste text. The iPhone still does not have a expansive memory slot. This is due in part because like all producers in the US, Steve Jobs is no different. He too cares about the stock holders opinions. It isn’t necessarily evil, but it ends up seemingly causing a rift among people (who all use toliet paper to lean up his/her mess). It is a money grubbing way to in effect, divide. I know it seems like a large leep, but just read for anouther minute and think it through. If the iPhone was sold as one model, instead of the different memory line, what would happen? The idea that when you only offer products with fixed memory (without the ability to expand), the consumer will buy the larger $ize because, he/she is cool, and rich. Who wants to own the “lower” noncool iPhone? Again, you are going this far to own a smartphone, whats a few $100 dollars more? See, it is social status.

You don’t have to school me, I know, it is capitalism, but it doesn’t change the fact that I think it is a clever way to allow a consumer to define his/her bank account by the amount of GBs in his/her iPhone. Case-in-point, here is a madeup converstaion between a well-off person, and a seemingly lower-classed person: “Youuuuu own an iPhone? Really, youuuuu, aren’t you a middle management, middle-classed, middle of the line person? – Ohhhhh, *snicker* it is the 8GB sized! “I knew you couldn’t afford the 16GB iPhone” you poor, poor, poor dirty, lazy slob. Sadly, this is all that comes to mind when I see a product line that offers options. Again, I know its supposed to allow anyone the opportunity to own a product and offer someone options.

You need a watch? Would you like the (ugly) Timex, or a (pretty) Rolex? You need a car, would you like the plush interior or leather? A 4-cylinder car or 6? You need a smartphone? The iPhone with 8GB or 16GB? The Apple fan base will EAT it up. Am I wrong?

Another point: I bet the iPhone v2 camera could have been upgraded, but then the iPhone memory would fill up quicker with pictures and videos instead of downloading mu$ic and movie$ from iTune$. Really, you still wonder why can’t there be a memory slot added to the phone?

That is all I have to say about the iPhoney.

Get a life you dormy dweebs who think the latest techno gadgets will make you cool. These things can NOT correct your dial tone, dim-witted personalities. Read a lot of books and learn something other than how to manipulate a video game. Learn how to manipulate weak minds who are incredibly phased by your prowl-est intellect and maybe, just maybe, you will also come across a pretty mate to go with your deadly credit card debt.

To those of you who are 30 plus years of age and plan to wait in line or sleep over night for Madden ’09 (or whatever “new” video game), I have a question: Is this game helping your obsessive-compulsive disorder?

Better yet, are you at least meeting people your own age and playing against them online?

If not, then I suggest you join a “real” fall football league where you actually play outside. Exercise can help a lot of things – including your weak physical stature. Better yet, start one for dweebs like yourself. Go ahead and blog about how you want to do this, see if anyone will respond. Seriously, go outside and meet people!
